Skin diseases
Skin diseases range from mild irritations to more serious conditions that affect both the appearance and health of your skin. They can be caused by infections, allergies, genetic predisposition or immune system problems. Symptoms vary, from itching and dryness to inflammation and scaling.
Treatment depends on the skin condition and may include creams or medications. However, many people have negative experiences with hormone ointments and corticosteroids, which is why better treatments are being researched.
LICHEN SIMPLEX
Lichen Simplex Chronicus is a chronic, intensely itchy skin condition often caused by repeated scratching, usually exacerbated by stress. This causes a hardening of the skin that can be painful and sensitive. Although it is not contagious, it has a significant impact on quality of life.
ATOPIC DERMATITIS
Atopic Dermatitis (eczema) is a chronic condition in which the immune system overreacts, often exacerbated by allergies or stress. It leads to dry, itchy patches on the skin, often accompanied by inflammation.
PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is a chronic condition in which skin cells renew faster, resulting in red, scaly patches. Triggers such as stress, infections or weather conditions can exacerbate the condition.
