VRT: Hasselt University will work more closely with a vaccinator from Alken

On 1 June, the Anima Research Centre will open a department at the Health Campus in Diepenbeek. This will allow for closer cooperation in the future between Hasselt University and the test centre in Alken, where vaccines are tested.

The medical research centre Anima Research Center from Alken moved into a new location on the Health Campus in Diepenbeek on Tuesday. CEO Erik Buntinx and his team are not only greatly expanding research into corona vaccines, they will also be conducting tests there on a new vaccine against the 'cold virus' RSV. Buntinx also announces the start of ANeuroTech, a company that aspires to develop 'billion dollar' generating drugs against diseases such as Alzheimer, depression and schizophrenia.

POM Limburg: With the support of POM Limburg, Anima Research Center can expand its testing capacity

With the support of POM Limburg, medical research centre Anima Research Center from Alken can further expand its testing capacity. POM looked for and found extra space for the company on the Health Campus in Diepenbeek. Anima is a world-renowned player in the testing of new medicines, and for some time also of vaccines. It recently became the largest test centre for Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine. In the new space, Anima will be able to further expand its testing capacity for new research assignments. With the arrival of a world player in healthcare, the tone for the Health Campus has immediately been set.
