About this study project

Cardiovascular diseases are among the most common health problems in Belgium. In this study, we are investigating a potential treatment for adults with cardiovascular problems or an increased risk of developing them.

Cardiovascular diseases often result from a narrowing of the blood vessels and can affect both physical health and daily functioning. This may include fatigue or shortness of breath during exertion, limitations in daily activities, and concerns about one's health.

  • Men and women aged 18 and over
  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Narrowed blood vessels or atherosclerosis (previous heart attack, stroke, or peripheral artery disease)
  • Smoker
  • High cholesterol
  • Reduced kidney function
  1. Register via the online form; you will receive a confirmation e-mail
  2. Our team will contact you for further follow-up and to assess whether participation is clinically appropriate
  3. Begin participation under medical supervision, including a treatment period and follow-up visits

You will receive personalised guidance from our team of physicians and researchers throughout the study. You are encouraged to ask questions at any stage and will receive support at every step to ensure you feel informed and clinically well-supported.

By participating, you contribute to the clinical understanding of how adults diagnosed with an existing cardiovascular condition or presenting with an elevated cardiovascular risk profile respond to a potential therapeutic intervention. The data collected will support the further development of this treatment and may generate valuable evidence for future clinical care.
