Alcohol use disorder
Research into possible treatments for individuals with excessive alcohol consumption

About this study project
Alcohol use disorder is a chronic and complex condition that presents significant challenges for both patients and healthcare providers. Managing excessive alcohol consumption requires a structured clinical approach, as withdrawal and long-term dependence carry substantial medical risks.
This study investigates a potential treatment for adults with alcohol use disorder.
Prolonged excessive alcohol consumption is associated with:
- Fatigue and cognitive impairment
- Mood disturbances and increased psychological stress
- Elevated risk of hepatic, cardiac, and systemic complications
- Social and functional deterioration
