Clinical study on the effectiveness and safety of study medication in adults with increased alcohol consumption.

Purpose of the study
ANIMA Research is conducting a clinical study into a new drug that may help to better control alcohol consumption.

The purpose of this study is to investigate:

  • whether the drug is effective in reducing alcohol consumption
  • how safe and well tolerated the drug is
  • what the impact is on general well-being and functioning

Important
Each participant will receive the active study medication at a specific point during the study. The participant information form explains in more detail how this timing will be determined.

Target

  • Men and women
  • Age: 18+ years
  • Women: on average, about 10 glasses of alcohol or more per week
  • Men: an average of about 20 glasses of alcohol or more per week
  • Motivated to reduce alcohol consumption

During a screening interview, we will assess whether you are eligible.

Reimbursement

There are no additional costs associated with participation.
All participants in a clinical study will receive compensation. The exact amount of compensation will be explained during the intake interview.

All personal data will be processed confidentially in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (GDPR). Your data will only be used for this study and will not be shared without legal or ethical grounds.
