Anima's research in Alzheimer's

In observance of World Alzheimer's Day on Sept. 21, 2024, we want to highlight the crucial work Anima Research is doing in Alzheimer's research. This progressive brain disease affects millions of people worldwide and is known to be the most common cause of dementia. The disease gradually affects memory, thinking and behavior, causing patients to lose their independence and their loved ones to face enormous challenges.

A recent article by pharma.be, the umbrella organization of some 130 innovative pharmaceutical companies in Belgium, highlights how urgently new research and effective treatments are needed. Currently, there is no cure for Alzheimer's, but science is not standing still. Researchers are working hard on new therapies that give hope for the future.

Anima Research Center has already contributed to promising studies and remains committed to the development of innovative treatments. This research is aimed at slowing or stopping the disease, and improving the quality of life of patients and those around them.

Collaboration between research institutions such as Anima and pharmaceutical companies is essential to making progress. Only by sharing knowledge and resources can we take steps toward a world where Alzheimer's is more manageable, and where patients can live with dignity and independence for longer.
